Business description

This long established business is being offered for sale after 25 years of ownership. It was originally established in 1955 and I am the third owner in 57 years. It has been run under management for the past 20 years with no day to day input from me. It is the largest, longest established and most well known supplier of appliance  parts in the Illawarra

Turnover has averaged $730,000 over the last three years and changes very little from year to year. Profitability is fairly constant and the average return for the past three years has been $78,147. This is with no active involvement in the business  - I own two other businesses that take my time.

Their are several reasons for sale  - I have some other investments I wish to make with the money - I own two other businesses and its time to start looking at semi retirement - time for someone else to take over the reigns and bring a new set of eyes to the business. Time to sell!! 25 years is a long time to own the same business.

The business premises are on the fringe of Wollongong CBD; are leased and their is ample free on and offsite parking.

The sale of this business gives someone the opportunity to step into a business making good returns from day one.  The return on invesment (purchase price plus stock) is in excess of 20%.

I was told by an invesment broker over thirty years ago that 'there is no better investment than a successful business' - and this is it.

The purchase price includes goodwill plus all the fittout, fixtures, fittings and equipment necessary to run the business on a day to day basis (it has no vehicles). The  other financial committment is stock at about $150,000. Total outlay is therefore  approximately $345,000.

All enquires will be treated in the strictest confidence and all potential purchasers will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
